Financing a Car On Parents' Insurance?

In California. Clear. Auto will be funded within the $30k - $40k selection. I imagine I'd need full-coverage. Would it not not be significantly more when the car were per year or two outdated as opposed to fresh? Thanks! I have always had used cars before with only liability insurance.
